Overview: Yes, an entire new one from scratch. I was thinking the rpg to be more enhanced and try a different version. Unfortunately desperate measures tend me to make this next rpg a bit more complex, but not too difficult. I can now correct my mistakes here, and advance to a more better and literate rpg. Yes, I'm sad to say that there will be possibly word counts in order to actually HAVE a system running properly around.

This way, it'll keep noobs out of contact(I'm not saying names), and I figured I'd create an rpg that's not too simple such as neversaga which I found ironically to be complicated.

Not accepting any more assistance for the time being. Still brainstorming ideas.

word count? i don't like one liners either but comon!

How about grading by quality instead of word count?

yeah he has a point i mean what if someone if off count, by one word? plus i dont wanna COUNT every word in a post its a waste of time and just plain unnessacary quality roleplay is better

And yes, I understand something about quality because a person can write so many junk in a role play. But how with the quality criteria work?

Yes there are automated word counters, but what if somebody just writes a lot but still manages to have it be no good. On other RPs I have been on, even the worse writers can make word count requirements, but their post won't be any better, and sometimes they end up being worse.

Grading by quality would be a case by case basis, you'd get the rewards from whatever quest / mission you accomplished, and then, possibly based on a rubric, you'd get a bonus of sorts regarding the quality of your RP.

If the RP is not "in-depth" or "good" enough then it wouldn't be graded until the writer edits to be better. The writer would, of course, be informed.

The one rubric regulating bonuses could be used by writers to see what they need to include in order to get good bonuses on their RP posts.

This helps the weaker writers by giving them writing training, of sorts, and also encourages / motivates the better writers by rewarding them.

i joined this site because of how relaxed the rping was, ive been on several RPGs that have word counts and i find it to be a bit of a turn off, i think rps should be graded on quality rather the quanity,

the way i see it if the grader liked the rp then they should give it a good grade, and if they didnt like it (ie couldnt follow it not discriptive enough or what ever) then they should give partial credit (if they dont want to fix it) or tell the poster what they need to work on and allow them to continued it

And how do we perhaps describe "Quality"?

i think quality should be in the mind of the grader if they think its good and captivative

I think role play should be determined on it's requirement such as what the character needs to essentially do to complete a task, rather than having a user giving his/her [false] opinion. This would be a problem if a moderator has grudges against a user.

I didn't see the site yet, so my vote is inconclusive, so i'm not voting, yet. I looked at the results, three people already voted no, and 7 said yes, by far at looking at looking at it I can't decide between yes and no.

For once, I strongly agree with Ravage. I'm tired of dealing with noobs already, not saying any names, but some of you know who you are, don't be ashamed (we all grow up. xD)

As for now, I don't need any much help with the site because pretty much we're still brain storming and gathering information. I don't need any gfxers, updaters, advertisers, whatever for the time being.

I prefer you not. xD It'll just hurt them more to have themselves exposed in publicity.
