Dason stands in the middle of the ring in the infamous tournament arena. The sun glares off of his armor as he makes sure his tail is wrapped firmly around his waist. He was now waiting for his opponent. He began to concentrate to build his energy to full, he knew he would need it.

*Adi entered the arena, and looked across the way. There stood his opponent, a young saiyan warrior. Uncurling his two tails, Matango grinned, showing his fanged smile. he felt a decent amount of power from the young man, but wasnt worried. His training, and skill, would catapult Matango to the top of the dueling arena. It would also be a good way to gain more power, and training. Even a weaker foe had tricks and tactics that Adi could learn, and add to his skill set.
Adi stepped forward, and began to draw his ki. The power surged through him, and that familiar tingle shot up his spine. He heard the announcer call the names of the fighters, and the name "Dason Concordia" was spoken. Apparently, that was his opponent's name. At least Adi would know who's next of kin to notify, in case of emergency...*

Dason turned to face his opponent and snickered at him as his face molded into a smirk. He could sense his opponent's power level, and he wasn't too impressed. Then again for high level Saiyans both of their levels were low. It was like some other force of administration which they could not control dictated how strong they could start with. As perplexing as this was Dason shrugged it off as he simply raised his right hand and out of it shot a green orb of ki at his opponent.
Then another fired and another right after that. It was time to probe, and not anally either. He had to know his opponent before his opponent could know him so that this issue of power level wouldn't be one. After the blasts were fired Dason turned his hand and waved the trademark bring it, and then said: "Come on you two-tailed wretch!" before dropping both arms to his sides and preparing for a fast paced duel.

*Adi watched, and dug in his feet as the energy blasts came in. Using his speed, Adi began blocking each one in turn, one after another. His aura began to grow as he dug deep for more power. His hands stung from the energy balls, and he was trying NOT to get upset at being attacked so quickly.
No honor...or it appeared so.*
"Oh you did NOT shoot that green shit at ME!!"
*Adi reflected the last of the energy balls, his hands red from the light, sunburn like damage he incurred from blocking them. For being weaker, the kid was good!
Not good enough, not yet.
Adi began to build up his power, drawing as much as he could from around him, and within him. Standing about ten feet from Dason now, the ground began to shake, and the floor began to crack under his foe. Adi was using his ki to pull down as hard as he could on Dason's body. This was Adi's Gravity Well attack. If it struck, it would at least hold Dason in place, if not pull him to the ground totally. Adi was pushing all he could into the attack, remembering what it had done to the hapless sensei in the town he had visited to find out more about his past.
Suddenly, a rush of energy hit Matango like a freight train. He had accessed an area that he hadnt felt since he arrived here on Earth, one that allowed him to surge more power into the Gravity Well attack. Adi threw his right hand out in front of him, closing his hand into a fist, and attempting to put a lot more into the gravity well attack.

Dason frowned as the man referred to his ki as "green shit". Dason was now displeased. He dashed forwards at the man as he was gathering energy. Quickly as he began to feel something tug at him. Dason sent a booming right hook at Adi's face followed by him using his own momentum to flip himself around while in the air to send his left leg thundering again at Adi's face. Hopefully at least one of the attacks would make contact to the distracted Adi as he gathered his energy, but Dason never counted on hope. He landed on his right hand in a handstand and flipped backwards once or twice before facing Adi again.

*Adi watched closely. He didnt take his eyes off of Dason as the kid dashed forward, and threw a right hook. Blocking that with his right hand, but still catching it in the left shoulder, he lost the hold on the gravity well attack. The kick came in as well, and Matango sidestepped, almost tripping as he did so.
Close one, indeed. The kid was fast, for sure. It would have to be dealt with, and quickly, or Adi would be hard pressed to win this fight. Dason was faster, and more nimble. Even with a lower power level, speed could make or break this fight.
In reaction to the attack, he followed Dason's backflips. To keep the pressure on him, Adi threw a flurry of his own, starting with a right palm thrust aimed at the bottom of Dason's ribcage. It was immediately followed by a quick left, and another right to the same area. As he finished the final punch, Matango threw a knee toward the inner thigh of Concordia, hoping to reduce his mobility a little bit. He began again gathering his ki around him, to prepare for the next attack.*

As the right palm thrust came in Dason used his left forearm to parry it to the outside, but he didn't allow Adi to attack again, no. He pivoted to the left on his left foot so his shoulder was perpendicular to Adi and he aimed to slam his right shoulder into the old man's chin as his second palm strike would go just behind his back. Hopefully Adi would be distracted by the shoulder strike so he wouldn't continue his flurry, and Dason would attempt to hook his right leg under Adi's right to collapse the knee and make him fall to the ground while Dason used his body weight to push down on the man. Dason wouldn't stop there however. He would use his right elbow, which was inside Adi's guard, or should be, to send two vicious strikes at his gut.

As the shoulder came up, Adi leaned back. Both of his hands shot out, in an attempt to grab Dason by the shoulders. He was coming forward, and Matango would try to use that. Dason cursed as he was rolled with Adi, but he attempted to grab Adi around his waist as Adi rolled them so hopefully he wouldn't be able to kick him in the gut and launch him into the air. Dason was surprised at the tact of this saiyan. The last person he met on earth was more wet behind the nose then this man. Then the Bakuhatsuha hit him, but he tried to hold on as long as he could to Adi. He used the fact his hands would be trapped under Adi's body if the grab took place to help he hold against Adi, but it was painful. His bones took some bruising and he coughed up some blood, but he held it in his mouth and then spat it at Adi's face to hopefully distract him as he tried to headbutt him before using his Ki to hopefully hit Adi point blank in the back after it built from his body and moved into his hands, and Dason groaned: "ERASER CANNON!".

As Dason's face was pushed he brought back in his energy and used his momentum to free his right hand and roll to the left which also freed his left hand so that Adi's head butt missed. Quickly he rose and took the infamous Kamehameha stance. He closed his eyes and gathered his energy into a basketball sized green orb and chanted: "KAAAA-MEEEE-HAAAA-MEEEE-HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" and with that he extended his arms and launched an energetic blast at Adi. His magnified ki was full of anger and it was about to be unleashed on Adi.

It wasnt going to be pleasant, unless Adi could do something to block it. The power he was building was far more than Adi could withstand by blocking. It probably would be tough to dodge as well. It was time to introduce the young one to 'The Lady'...
Adieumus had been building up his ki since the Bakuhatsuha, and even that hadnt done a lot to reduce the power that Matango had built up previously. Igniting his aura, and rapidly drawing power, Adi rolled up to his feet. Gaining solid footing, and facing his opponent in a side stance, Adi, too, began to focus the energy in the palms of his hands, which were now positioned beside him, in a similar motion as Dason was making. He was building his Beam Blast Wave, an attack learned from the numerous times on the barren wasteland planet that he had to defend himself against the meteorite showers that were a frequent occurrence. The blue energy began to build in his palms, focusing, starting out as a bright pinprick of light. As the first syllable began to spout from Concordia's mouth, the 'Ka', Adi's energy attack was now a baseball sized energy ball. The 'me' was uttered, and more ki was pushed into Adi's attack. Next, the first 'ha' uttered, and Matango turned more squarely on Dason, bringing his hands in front of his body now. The second 'me', drawn out in its wording, and Adi thrust his hands out in front of him, opening his palms. The final 'HAAAA!!' was spoken, and the green orb, now a beam, shot from his hands. At the same time, Adi threw his Beam Blast Wave into the path of the oncoming kamehameha attack, meeting the blast halfway. It was straining, the attempt to keep the massive green energy beam taxing every bit of Matango's strength to counter it. The 'Lady', as Adi had come to call this attack, was a vivid blue wave of energy, focused by holding his palms just so. His fingers were slightly curled, his palms slammed together, and the ki flowing freely from Matango, into his arms, and subsequently his hands. Adi's body temperature rose slightly from the exertion, and he began to sweat. He dug his heels into the floor of the arena, his black Air Force One sneakers catching the smooth floor, and biting in.
It seemed that they were in a power struggle, the loser of which would probably be the loser of the fight.
With a bellowing yell, Adi surged more ki into the beam blast wave, increasing its intensity, and sending sparkles of gold through the attack. It began to push back against the Kamehameha, slowly, but surely, pushing toward Dason. If Concordia had any more power left, he would have to put everything he had into HIS attack as well.
Matango was doing just that. With every ounce of his being, he surged his beam again, and increased the size, strength, and power of the blast wave. His ki had increased steadily since the beginning of the fight, and with this duel coming to a climax, Adi felt stronger than ever.
He just hoped it was enough.*

Dason's strength was dwindling and he had to do something fast as the blue section of the beam crept ever so slowly towards him, and yet he wondered to himself, what was all of this for? Strength? Blood lust? A sense of superiority? None were reasons he wanted to accept, but he would have to accept there WAS a reason, and that reason was the one he was fighting for: Culture.
As Saiyans these two were both prideful warriors fit only on a battlefield filled with blood and decaying bodies laying strewn about as the blood moon arose. As the blue and green combined they formed a color more of a turquoise and it looked beautiful. Slowly the point at which they met came close and closer until it was only a few feet from Dason, and it was then when he found his clarity. He heard his father's voice in the deep recesses of his mind encouraging him to fight on no matter what. So Dason was beaten, bruised, and bloodied, so what? They were Saiyans and that is what they did best.

His body emitted a pure green aura as he gathered his remaining strength into his hands, and once he did that he drew upon more. He drew from the planet itself and it flowed from the dirt into the ring and through Dason's feet and across his whole body. It flowed like a gentle stream, but also like a jolting river as Dason finally pushed out with a final yell of: "HAAAA!!!!". All of that pent up energy and emotion surged through the green been and began to vigorously push back the blue beam of light.

*Empowered emotion. The true power of a Saiyan.
Adi watched as Dason began to reach deeper, and he suddenly burst forth with a massive surge of energy. It was impressive, and dangerous. The very ground trembled as Dason drew energy from all around him, and his beam again began to advance toward Adi. Straining against the force of the attack, Adi's feet began to slide backward. He slid closer to the edge of the ring. Even though the rules allowed being knocked out of the ring, Adi didnt want to chance giving Dason the upper hand.
It was then that a memory returned to Adi, one centered around his genetic altering. This was the very same genetic altering that gave Adi the two tails that were now slowly uncurling from his waist, and swishing out behind him. It was also the same procedure that gave him his fangs. The scientists had removed the DNA from Adi's bone marrow, changed it, and put it back in. This then permeated his body, giving Adi additional strength, speed, and reflexes beyond what a normal Saiyan Elite would have.
Adi drew upon this, and his training. Fear was not an option. He knew that he held power in reserve, something he didnt like to tap into unless it was necessary. Now was one of those times. Pushing everything he had into his Beam Blast Wave, Adi snarled in anger. Dason was annoying him. Not by his actions, which seemed honorable enough. He was annoyed at the fact that the kid was giving him this good of a run.
The Beam Blast Wave was now surging forth with a massive amount, pushing against the Kamehameha wave, and slowing its progress. Stopping it about halfway between them, the two beams were now pushing agianst each other, and where they met was a monstrous mess of sparkling energy. It was a blazing white star of power, and growing larger. If too much more power was put into it, it would probably explode, and throw both combatants in separate directions.
Dason was strong, though, and probably had a little more in the tank. Adi was hoping that wasnt the case....*
Adi watched as Dason began to reach deeper, and he suddenly burst forth with a massive surge of energy. It was impressive, and dangerous. The very ground trembled as Dason drew energy from all around him, and his beam again began to advance toward Adi. Straining against the force of the attack, Adi's feet began to slide backward. He slid closer to the edge of the ring. Even though the rules allowed being knocked out of the ring, Adi didnt want to chance giving Dason the upper hand.
It was then that a memory returned to Adi, one centered around his genetic altering. This was the very same genetic altering that gave Adi the two tails that were now slowly uncurling from his waist, and swishing out behind him. It was also the same procedure that gave him his fangs. The scientists had removed the DNA from Adi's bone marrow, changed it, and put it back in. This then permeated his body, giving Adi additional strength, speed, and reflexes beyond what a normal Saiyan Elite would have.

Dason saw his opponent draw in his own energy and struggled, but both powers stayed even. Slowly Dason pulled his arms in and pushed them out again while releasing a growl of rage as the meeting point exploded. Green and Blue energy sparks flew as the blast blinded everything. It was marked as a giant dot on Earth as a whole as Dason was sent cascading back into, and through, the stands behind him and he eventually landed in a car.
His left arm was broken as were both of his legs. His blood seeped through every orifice and his bones felt like they were barely holding together. That blast was so powerful that if it hadn't been self contained it could've at least destroyed Earth. Slowly Dason propped himself up on his only working appendage, his right arm. He looked through the massive hole in the stadium to see what had happened to his opponent in the giant blast.

*There was a blinding flash, and then blackness. The explosion was massive. The two beams were just too much, and they simply blew up. Adi was thrown back through the stands of the arena, and tumbled end over end until he came to a stop on the outside of the arena.
Blood was running down his face, his left arm was dangling uselessly at his side, and it was difficult to breathe. Apparently, he had a few broken ribs. Matango coughed, and blood spattered the ground as he regained his feet, slowly. Stumbling back toward the ring, Adieumus saw his opponent in a broken heap on the other side of a hole on the opposite side of the arena. Dason apparently couldnt get to his feet. Adi himself was quite glad of this. The kid was VERY good. He deserved some recognition.
Adi limped over to his fallen foe, and smiled. Dason was STILL trying to get up, even with his legs bent at odd angles, apparently broken. Adi dropped to the ground beside Dason, and smiled.*
Well fought, young one. I am impressed with your tenacity, and skill. You are a worthy opponent. You can be proud of your Saiyan heritage, Dason. Now, lets get you some medical attention.
*Waving over the medical staff, and helping them get Dason onto a gurney, Adi smiled again. The kid would prove a powerful fighter someday, perhaps an ally sometime in the future. Until that time, though, Adi would train harder, and make sure he kept up with the young man.
If not, Adi would have trouble beating him the next time...*
